Services & Fees

Information about Fees

I am committed to transparent pricing. I use a flat fee so you don't have to wonder about an hourly rate and how many hours the evaluation might take. You don't have to wonder about copays, deductibles, or other hidden fees. My fees are listed below for all evaluations. The fee for consultation and advocacy services is $165 per hour.

Fees are subject to change and will be updated on this website. The fee for your specific evaluation will be listed on your contract.

Stephanie Hewitt personally completes all assessments at Learning Pathways. You will work with me from start to finish. I don't have any interns, assistants, or psychometrists complete any part of the evaluation.

Evaluations Offered & Fees

A comprehensive evaluation is typically recommended because it provides a more holistic and integrated picture of the child and multiple factors that could be impacting his or her learning. However, for more specific referral concerns such as a learning disability, autism, or ADHD, more targeted evaluations are offered. The different evaluations, and included components and fees, are provided below. If you are a school district looking for contract psych support, please email me for my rate sheet.

*A class/school observation is offered for a targeted learning evaluation, comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation, and IEEs. It is dependent upon the wishes of the parent/guardian and the cooperation of the school. Testing/clinical observations are included for all evaluation types.

Which type of evaluation is right for me/my child?

A Cognitive/IQ Test is recommended if:

  • You wonder if your child is gifted.

  • You want to find out how your child’s brain learns best and how to support their learning.

A Targeted Learning Evaluation is recommended if:

  • You want to find out how your child’s brain learns best and what their academic levels are.

  • You want to know if your child has a learning disability, such as dyslexia (reading disability), dysgraphia (writing disability), or dyscalculia (math disability).

  • Your child is struggling in school or with some aspect of their learning (i.e., memory, processing auditory or visual information, processing speed, etc.), and you want to know how to support them.

  • You do not have any significant social-emotional/behavioral concerns, or these issues have already been assessed/identified.

A Targeted Social-Emotional Evaluation is recommended if:

  • You do not have significant concerns about your child’s learning, processing, or academic levels (or these issues have already been evaluated/identified).

  • You wonder if your child has autism/ASD, ADHD, or another mental health difference.

  • You want to learn how to support your child’s social-emotional well-being and mental health.

A Comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation is recommended if:

  • You have concerns with your child’s learning/processing, academic progress or levels, and social-emotional functioning.

  • You want a full-picture of how your child’s brain works and how to support them in all aspects.

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is recommended if:

  • Your child has already been evaluated by your local public school district and you disagree with the results or feel it was not appropriate or thorough.

Payment Policies

Evaluation payments are paid in two installments (50% of the estimate at the beginning of services with the remainder paid upon receipt of the completed report). There is no cost to families for an Independent Educational Evaluation through a school district, as the district will provide payment.  Payment for direct services (i.e. consultation, advocacy) is due at the time of the service. I accept checks, cash, or Venmo.

I am not contracted with insurance panels, as I am a licensed educational psychologist, and they don't deem the evaluation as medically necessary. Thus, I do not accept insurance at this time; however, I can provide a "superbill" with relevant information if you would like to try to get reimbursed by your insurance. I do not guarantee that your insurance carrier will reimburse you and strongly recommend contacting your insurance beforehand if this is something you are considering. Some clients have been able to get partial reimbursement for my assessments when they include mental health issues, A0HD, or autism spectrum disorder.
