Fees and Payments

Fees

I am committed to transparent pricing. I use a flat fee so you don't have to wonder about an hourly rate and how many hours the evaluation might take. You don't have to wonder about copays, deductibles, or other hidden fees. The flat fee for a comprehensive psychoeducational assessment is $4,000 including all components listed on the services page. A comprehensive assessment is recommended because it provides a more holistic and integrated picture of the child and multiple factors that could be impacting his or her learning. However, for more specific referral concerns such as a learning disability or ADHD, less involved assessments are offered. For cognitive testing only (one session with one IQ/cognitive test), the fee is $750. For a learning disability (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia; no social-emotional measures/diagnoses) only evaluation, the fee is $2,500.

The fee for consultation and advocacy services is $150 per hour.

Fees are subject to change and will be updated on this website. The fee for your specific evaluation will be listed on your contract.

Stephanie Hewitt personally completes all assessments at Learning Pathways. You will work with me from start to finish. I don't have any interns, assistants, or psychometrists complete any part of the evaluation.

Payment Policies

Assessment payments are requested in two installments (50% of the estimate at the beginning of services with the remainder paid upon receipt of the completed report). There is no cost to families for an Independent Educational Evaluation through a school district, as the district will provide payment.  Payment for direct services (i.e. consultation, advocacy) is due at the time of the service. I accept checks, cash, or Venmo.

I am not contracted with insurance panels, as I am a licensed educational psychologist, and they don't deem the evaluation as medically necessary. Thus, I do not accept insurance at this time; however, I can provide a "superbill" with relevant information if you would like to try to get reimbursed by your insurance. I do not guarantee that your insurance carrier will reimburse you and strongly recommend contacting your insurance beforehand if this is something you are considering. Some clients have been able to get partial reimbursement for my assessments when they include mental health issues, ADHD, or autism spectrum disorder.
